TRITON RECORDS is the brainchild of Italian native BLAKE (TRAX Records; Rebirth Records), a project that combines the impressive sonic repertoire he has to offer, alongside stunning artworks. This package covers some ground between his main Detroit inspirations, ambient sonics and more tripped out melodic pieces.

Tribal Transmissions opens the record CHAPTER I: THE BLACK GODDESS (AΦOR) with a high but steady tempo, a rhythmic workout with no little amount of nuance. The track builds and evolves in a unique and gradual manner, not unlike early Underground Resistance but with a modern twist.

Hysteria brings the futuristic funk front and center, incredible synthwork and rhythm really make this track stand out, eerie in a way and thoroughly killer. A nice counterpoint to the 2nd half of the EP.

Closing out the originals on the EP, BLAKE drops the tempo and lets things get a little warmer and more soulful with The Black Goddess. An almost acidic bass works against the ethereal atmospherics to elevate this track.

Finishing the record, we have Scan 7 - Way Of The Se7en's Remix, he takes the soulful soundscape of the original and strips it back to be just a little more dancefloor oriented.

To launch the label, BLAKE has called upon the most influential Detroit artist AbuQadim Haqq, designer of historical releases of among others Underground Resistance, Metroplex and Transmat, who has conceived, curated and realized the entire artwork project of TRITON RECORDS, its logo and the astonishing EP cover
